Hi, Finally installed a new RAM module to replace the factory installed module(not at all difficult to do!) then reinstalled Tiger 10.4.01- all working fine again now. Norton Systemworks 3.0 crashes Tiger when using auto-antivirus???? Apart from that no other Applications problems - so far!

Hi - just to say I have just replaced that faulty factory fitted 256Mb module with new Kingston 512MB module, repasted and reassembled case and all is working fine again ;-) now to upgrade system software to Tiger ;-) - onwards and upwards!!! thanks for all the help I recieved !!!

All the RAM was fitted by the AppleReseller I originally bought the iMac from - so I am guessing it would be Apple supplied? But on second thoughts I suppose if the reseller could source cheaper RAM modules I suppose they would have used these rather than Apple sourced RAM modules? Will see what...
