It depends which kind of graphics have you to manage or create.
I think for creative grafics:
Macromedia Freehand;
Adobe Illustrator
For generic vectorial design:
AppleWorks (entry level);
CorelDraw 10;
ConceptDraw (similar to Visio);
If you have to do applicatio modelling (UML)...
So the files /dev/*.modem are just simbolic links to the real driver ?
I have seen the descriptors for the files
the descriptors are crw-rw-rw
the rw descriptors are well known but what does it mean "c" ??

I know they sre useful to store windows positions and other infos but this is not a problem.
I would like to wtite files on a remote disks but avoit .DS_Store ad other hidden files ??
