i'm trying to connect my imac computer using my other computers cable modem any ideas on how i can connect any ideas would greatly be appreciated.

I was recently giving an IMac computer it had mac os 9.2 on it it also had no starting up disks with it is there anyway I can reboot this computer so everything goes back to factory settings any help or suggestions would be appreciated.
