thanks loads. got it installed and working now. as i said, i'm a mac n00b so i'm learning now. managed to find the disc utility and set up my hard drive for installation. thanks loads, im now on my way to learning mac!

i have a problem when trying to install osx onto my beige powerpc. its my first mac, i have two of them but one needs a new gfx card as the on board is faulty and i'm waiting for that to arrive. i'm not a complete technostupid, i'm pc + hardware savvy, but new to the world of mac. in this way...
