jEdit is a wonderful program for writing JAVA. It will serve you well whether or not you are starting out or a 'pro'. Give it a try!

I had similar issues but they were addressed by using a different extension set. First - out with SCSI- infact, I set it to Apple OS 9.1 Full and then added back extensions until I found an optimal set. Start up still takes a while, for me it seems slightly longer than in OS 9.1 alone, but once...

Its like this: Of my two drives, Drive 1 is OS 9.1 and Drive 2 is/was OS X 4K78. Currently, I can only boot from the OS X install CD. Holding down option or 'C' does nothing but cause the computer to hang at a grey screen with a single cursor. Oddly, Os 9.1 is accessable and works from within...

I've posted this elsewhere but... Synching with my Visor under Classic in OS X was no problem. What remains to be seen is when a native solution will be made available.

I found it much easier to do sudo passwrd root. for some reason, and maybe it was a mistype on my part, but it didn't work the first time by asking for my root password. Second time, however, was the charm.

To my surprise, Hot-Synching with my Visor went without a hitch under the Classic environment in OS X. As far as native software for this, I believe Apple and third parties have something around the corner...

In OS X final it was very simple to set up my Epson 740i. Transparently it recognized my printer (where did it store the driver?) and prints as expected from AppleWorks etc. As for what drivers are initially covered, I have no idea. Good Luck!
