I used the installers from http://macosx.forked.net/ but it seems like they are now rather out of date! Thanks for the tip; I haven't really looked into fink as there haven't been too many packages I've wanted to install, but if it can fix my nedit then it'll be worth the effort!

So some time ago I successfully installed nedit 5.1.1 (which required the lestif 0.9.32 library) and ran it with the OroborOSX front end for XDarwin. Unfortunately something in the last couple of months appears to have broken it, possibly the upgrade to 10.1.3, or possibly the newer releases...
