After posting (typical, right?) I finally figured out it was the USB connection setting on the cam... Mass storage didn't work...had to go to PTP instead.... after that I was able to get them using Image Capture :) Thanks for trying to help everyone!

Yup, that was the issue, but exactly the opposite.

Just got a Sony A350 and when I try plugging it in to upload photos to my MacBook I get an error message saying "The disk you inserted was not readable by this computer." Any ideas? Using Mac OS X (10.6.8), MacBook 1,1 2 GHz Intel Core Duo
