nice, Xarcom! but the powerbooks keyboard looks quite different, so i wonder if the same instruction applies to it. Anyone? i will try to keep away from the computer for a few days (Ghhaaaa!) to see if it gets solved by drying the stuck juice to powder.

i have heard that this is mainly a problem with older screens and mini. unfortunately that is just the kind of screen most people are going to use.

i did the same yesterday i i just clicked on the x in the LED to stope the stupid volume-thingy. then unchecked the check volume. and it never tried to do that agin.

but they can run it. at 16 bit.

the easy way is always the best. funny that none of us thought about that. the "trash the preferences"-trick has been the universal problem-fixer all through the history of the macintosh. ;)

40€ a month at Bredbandsbolaget. 24 mb/s. included broadbandmodem (that i have to return if i cancel the service). btw. the download speed from apple (updates etc) seem to peek at 1 megabyte per second. Why is that? With 24 megabit i should be able to download at 4 megabyte per second...

i mainly use Playlist Player (and VLC for more "complex" codecs). i think Playlist Player is pretty and all (great for watching saved television series). the only thing i find lacking is the poor forward/rewind functionality.

maybe they meant that you should trash the entire "webkit.framework"-folder. my take: trash it! (but first make sure you have a copy of everything important on cd/dvd/external hd.). if everything goes wrong reinstall the system and make sure you repair permissions before you do the...

are you sure you go to "SYSTEM/library/frameworks" and not just "library/frameworks"? they are located at the same rootlevel of the hd so it can sometimes be easy to mix them up. p.s "vger" - is that from the first star trek movie? :p

Uninstalled safari? hmm.. Safari is as smooth as a pebble for me at 1.33 ghz. not so when there are a lot of flash animations and things going on.
