    Formatting

Long story short, I have a new toy that uses SD cards, but they have to be in Fat32 format. My Mac's Disk Utility (Sonoma 14.2) only has the options, other than Mac, ExFat or MS-DOS (Fat) Having 2 SDHD cards already, I had to go buy another just to have a Fat32 format that, I was told, come...

    Mac pro through Imac

I think you BOTH are off in left field somewhere! The least computer intensive tasks are email and browsing. I'm surprised you picked those two to want more of. That iMac is seriously deficient in RAM--2Gig is no where near enough. Are you asking if you can use the iMac screen with the Mac...

    Key types two characters

I'm thinking you had a crumb, or debris, in your keyboard. A can of compressed air can fix this (or occasionally make it worse.)

Hardwired internet via a USB hub is not working after the MBP sleeps.

Start by upgrading to the latest OS: 14.1.1

Issue with Finder for one specific folder (Sonoma)

Glad that worked, but dear Apple just released 14.1.1 for bug elimination. You might as well go all out and update again. It doesn't take very long.

Installation of OS (12 and 13) stops in the middle and never gets completed

"The end justifies the means" :) And your MacFuse? (of which I am totally unfamiliar)

Installation of OS (12 and 13) stops in the middle and never gets completed

Test for what??? Apple and thousands of beta testers have already done that! Now, after full release, millions have 'tested' it. You are needlessly creating a monumental headache for yourself.

Installation of OS (12 and 13) stops in the middle and never gets completed

Dare I ask why? Unless you save important files to an external, you'll loose everything you now have. You can still do what you want directly with System Preferences. This from Apple support site:

Installation of OS (12 and 13) stops in the middle and never gets completed

Are you saying you want to erase/wipe, re-format, and install? Or you wishing to upgrade/update your OS 12.7 to OS 13 or 14? The latter can easily be accomplished through Software update without the added step of using a thumb drive; much faster also. FWIW, this Mac that I am using & typing...

Installation of OS (12 and 13) stops in the middle and never gets completed

Is there a reason that you do not upgrade using the Software Update available in System Settings through the internet?

Do I need to reformat my TM backup that I used prior to MM2 and Ventura?

Yes, you may drag any of the TM folders to the trash and empty it any time you choose, BUT, be advised, it takes a loooong time to empty the trash. (Been there--done that! :) )

Samsung 1710 printer driver for MacOS 12.5.1 monterey

Just a few years ago, I bought a Canon refurb, direct from Canon, laser black only wireless scanner/printer, for $99 delivered. Just checked--none available right now, but refurbs show up often.

Samsung 1710 printer driver for MacOS 12.5.1 monterey

Any inexpensive printer (less than $100) will likely be better than your old printer. (Is it dot matrix? o_O ) As an added bonus, it'll likely be wireless, have a scanner and be capable of 2 sided printing. On a serious note, do yourself a favor and buy the ones that use bottled ink---those...

iPhone won't get email or browser results unless on wi-fi

Left side top press & release; left side bottom press & release; right side press & hold; all is fairly rapid succession. (Ignore any message--just hold until it goes black and then the Apple logo appears--then release) Try again---you'll get the 'hang' of it. :)

iPhone won't get email or browser results unless on wi-fi

The hard reset will not delete anything and all of your settings will remain. I do it, as a routine, about every 2 months.

iPhone won't get email or browser results unless on wi-fi

To further what Cheryl said, do a hard reset. Press and release the Volume Up button, then press and release the Volume Down button, followed by a press and hold of the Side button. Keep the button pressed until you see the Apple logo. It will restart.
