I ordered the DAZZLE Hollywood DV Bridge(it connects to the computer via Firewire) from ClubMac to convert some VHS tapes to digital and then burned them to DVD's...It was $155 including taxes and shipping. I used iMovie to create 10 min clips of the tapes...Then I could either use IDVD or Toast...

I just boot into my OS9 partition, migrate to the files I want to trash and move them to the trash...If they are locked, holding the Option key while emptying the trash works for me.

Chris, If you have the Office X package that Entourage came with, there's pretty good instructions in the Getting Started Book.pdf that comes with Office X. It includes a section on Entourage and its use, including how to set up new mail accounts. Matt

I've had similar problems...I've tried to 'force quit' applications when they wouldn't launch(spinning gear) and wind up having to do a hard restart..I've also noticed 'force quit' doesn't work as smoothly as on earlier OSX versions. I agree it's probably an OSX problem. Matt

I understand DiskWarrior/PlusOptimizer, TechTool Pro and maybe Norton's Utilities(in the future) are working on versions which can be run from an OSX system...but they're not here yet. That's maybe one of the biggest reasons to partition a hard drive and have one partition with OS9.x and all...

I guess you have discovered by now that although Norton Utilities will do its thing on 10.2.x volumes, it has to be run from a CD with the OS9 system...Symantec has a very good procedure for creating a bootable CD(assuming you have an OS9 installation CD in your possession), and tells how to do...

I suspect your Norton's will only run from an OS9.x system. You don't give any info as to what Mac you have or what operating system(s) you can boot from. Give more details and someone can surely help you. :p Matt

Hi arshort, You say you have 2 partitions, yet identify 3... Anyway, you can erase everything on either partition without disturbing anything on the other partitions....but you will still have the same number of partitions...that's not bad as you can still used the erased partition for...
