    Boot up with your os x system disk on your computer and initiate a repair permissions (don't reinstall os x just yet). Reboot and let us know if your computer gets past the blue screen. Though you might need to do an archive and install in order to get things working again...

    Um, it's because there's no color in black and white pdfs. ;) You have to adjust contrast or brightness only with b/w pdfs.

    You might want to simply reset the 3G ipod (don't have it plugged in when you do this). Hold the center button and the Menu button down at the same time till the screen goes dark, then let go, wait for the screen to turn back on again. You should see the apple on restart.     I'd recommend choosing your own. Make sure the number you choose doesn't conflict with another device on your network. I usually set printers at x.x.x.100+ for convenience as ips for computers are usually set sequentially starting from 3 or so for that last digit.

    How did you find it? Once you have that just choose "IP Printing" when you set up the printer on your mac. If that doensn't work, install GIMP PRINT and use the driver it installs.
