Now that G5 iMacs have been received...

Is it possible to transfer data from a firewire drive instead of from the older machine to the new iMac?

new emac update very very soon?

I think the car analogy is getting somewhat old in the tooth. The fact is you get what you pay for. Unfortunetly, people are use to computers from Bestbuy, Walmart, and Circuit City that have ridiculous rebates on them. In order to get a good computer you are going to have to pay $800-$1000...

    Colour iPod (merged thread)

The video iPod appears to be a combination of a tablet pc/pda on a small screen. I think if the movie industry turns to Apple that this device be designed to compete with the portable DVD players available from Airports and various electronic stores. A colour iPod is similar to the colour...

Platinum Theme (Mail.app) - "The one with Susan..."

I think brushed metal was the best change for the Finder ever. Well it was not that revolutionary but it keeps our focus on the content inside. For example, in iTunes I am more likely to pay attention to the source to the right and all my music to the left. I rarely look at the brushed metal...

    GarageBand Trouble

In the Finder go to your Applications Folder and scroll down to Disk Utility (it looks like the instrument at the doctor's office) and double click. I don't have Mac OS X in front of me but it is fairly easy. Repair your permissions and it should not take that long. If all else fails go to...

Platinum Theme (Mail.app) - "The one with Susan..."

Denied. Anyone save the picture? The Longhorn reference doesn't help.

    Ballmer is an idiot....

He sounds like a man who just came out of a bar and is ranting about how unfair Apple is to Microsoft or whatever drivel that has spewed from his mouth. I think Ballmer is equivalent of a prime minister making the deals and controlling Microsoft while Gates collects the money.

    A change in tactics

I remember back when Mac OS 8 was a hit and there were hacker applications loaded up on the PowerMacs at Texas A&M. Now I wonder if they were used against Windows or Mac?

iPod Flash Player to be hit this Christmas?

In case you were wondering, the flash players listed are for reference of what is currently out there. I excluded the HD players on purpose. Anywho, the $129-179 price range sounds reasonable for an Apple flash player. Maybe they can call it "iFlash"

iPod Flash Player to be hit this Christmas?

http://www.smarter.com Sony Network Walkman 256mb $199 Sony Memory Stick Walkman 64mb $129 Creative Nomad MuVo 512mb $179 Rio Fuse 256mb $65 Audiovox 128mb $130 I seem to remember Steve Jobs promoting the iPod Mini in the keynote as a better choice than a flash mp3 player where you get...

    FreeiPods.com Isn't a Free Launch

I heard that if you have special plastic, paper, and metal called "money" you can purchase an iPod or iPod Mini. I can't believe Apple is pulling this scam making us pay for their products. Oh geez, what will they think of next!

I want my Apple Mobile Phone!

Camera: I would look forward to a release of the second revision of iSight. Phone: I like the idea of the Apple-Motorola partnership because they do make the best phones with bluetooth incorporated I might add. I just don't see the desperate need for one in an already vast sea of choices.

Need for a iMovie Video Store

I think the rumored "iBox" is what people are looking to download movies or television shows to. I doubt Apple would use iMovie as the basis because it is video editing software but rather another application. Who knows.

    what happened to VirtualPC7?

From what I saw on the demo at Mactopia I think this is a better release than previous attempts. I like the native printing and start menu in the dock. Maybe that was in previous versions though.

Where have all the rumors gone?

I think rumors often ruin the announcement of a product because they are too factual. It is like doing research on all the different aspects of one subject and dissecting it until you have a 90 page report. I'd rather have wild speculation in addition; to balance out the uptight, so called, "mac...

    iMac G5

Didn't the power button used to be on back for the 1980s AIO's? I like the iMac G5 for its easy access to ports and the power button on the back. I am glad to see Ive is sticking with white instead of adding colors. Looks very modern and is not going to be outdated anytime soon. The eMac...

if the iMac g5 had a touch screen...

There are too many things like posters, paintings, and shelves that fall off my wall in the middle of the night. Most of them end up just fine while others are ruined. Imagine explaining to an Apple Tech that your iMac took a turn for the worst when it crashed onto the desk and split apart on...
