thank you, It worked! The test ran and tells me there are no hardware problems. my mac keeps freezing up a few minutes after start up,or just turning off itself, so i restart, it does it again, maybe several times then settles down to run ok for the day.. so i guess i need to do software...

hi, I am trying to run a hardware text frm the PowerMac G4 Install and restore disc that came with my mac. I can't get the Hardware test to appear in the menu as it says it should do. so I can't run it! It says after putting in cd "to use apple hardware test, hold down option key as computer...
