We have a Maxtor One Touch III, self powered, that is not mounting on a particular 15" PowerBook G4 running 10.4.8 with all security patches installed. Nothing shows up in System Profiler or Disk Utility - nothing meaning in reference to the drive, I can see both USB Buses in System Profiler...
