Lion: Lost headphone and mic ports after install

Thank you very much, DeltaMac, for your time and valuable input. When I reinstalled Lion, i did it trough the net so there wasn't much choice how to do it. I'll try SMC and PRAM resets again and then, if I really can't live w/o the audio out jack working, I'll have to wipe the disk and go for a...

Lion: Lost headphone and mic ports after install

I ran the Hardware Test -- all clean. So this looks like its software-related, like Lion has forgotten about the existence of sound i/o port. As for DeltaMac's question, the SI Audio shows only the internal speakers. There are no other options, neither is there any kind of place to choose...

Lion: Lost headphone and mic ports after install

The camera and internal mic work just fine. I do get sound from the internal speakers. Holding cmd-d did nothing, no diagnostics, so the iMac too old for that. The only disk that I have is the SnowLeopard -- Lion has no discs.

Lion: Lost headphone and mic ports after install

Hi, there's no red light in either of the audio ports. I have tried to repair disk permissions, to no avail. Logging in as another user does not help, either. Neither does turning the bluetooth off and on. Somehow it would seem logical that both ports would be lost, if and probably when the...

Lion: Lost headphone and mic ports after install

Sorry, forgot to mention that: tried to reset pram and nvram. Also tried the old method of turning the computer off, removing the power cord, waited for a minute, reinserted the power cord while pushing the power button. Started in safe mode, rebooted and still nothing. Could be the port's busted.

Lion: Lost headphone and mic ports after install

Hello, After installing Lion the headphone and mic ports stopped working on my mid-2007 24" iMac. I'm running the latest version of Lion -- 10.7.2 (11C74). I have tried about all the tricks I've been able to google for: killing sudos, the midi sound thing (set audio output to 32-bit -- but I...

Hello, Installing CS2 makes a pdf icon to Office applications. I cannot make a pdf from powerpoint directly. With Tiger there was no problem, I just clicked the pdf icon and that's it. Now the bloody thing just freezes; it prints the pages and then tagges them etc but freezes at the very end...

CS2 pdf maker crashes with Leopard

Hello, I just upgraded to a new iMac with Leopard. I installed Adobe's CS2 suite and tried to convert a powerpoint presentation into a pdf using Adobe's pdf maker. However, the maker freezes when it's about 80% ready, no matter the file size. Anyone else had the same problem? Any advice (apart...
