I tried rebooting, resetting pram and did the fsck -fy thing. That fixed the HD, it did a minor bitmap repair. It said 'invalid volume free block count' and fixed it. But after rebooting nothing has changed. still shows an empty desktop with a wallpaper image and does nothing else. Help would...
