I also would like to see a second track for video editing. Better support for editing audio would be nice too...if I insert a song and try to cut off part iMovie crashes, every time. It would also be nice if you could import more formats of video...I hate having to convert video to DV and audio...

My point is that it's not just this case, it happens with everything Apple puts out. Apple doesn't just 'happen' to be first this time, they are first about every time.

Uhh does anyone realize that I fixed it? the firewall just prevents internet sharing from working, it has nothing to do with my ISP. The firewall doesn't let other computers through completely to the net.

I meant what are your network settings on your G4 and on your router. I can't help you if I don't know how anything is set up.

I'd say just get a single-processor machine. The duals aren't really much faster at all due to poor design and the fact that you won't see a great increase in performace in apps not written specifically to take advantage of dual-processors. Basically a dual-procesor machine will let you run more...

I'm not saying that everyone wants a Mac. I just find it increadibly stupid that PC manufacturers will copy Apple's designs unrelentlessly to make their machine have the same eye-appeal. Why don't they try a little of their own innovation in PC case design rather than consistantly making it look...

Apple innovates...the rest of the industry scrambles to rip it off in their own f***ed up way. Why doesn't Besy Buy just pull a Dell and sell actual PowerBooks? It's so much easier.

If you have an AIM and an ICQ number, I'm sure you'd just keep both. I doubt they're going to attempt to combine the two systems, at least not right away. RIght now they are more likely just creating a bridge between the two networks to allow them to communicate, not combine into one network...

AOL owns ICQ, it only makes sense. Why doesn't anyone else know this? Anyways... I'm glad to see this since ICQ is my primary IM service.

How about Apple stays as Bang & Olufsen, and Dell is Wal-Mart. That's more like it. "Apple innovates, Dell sells -- what a great combo!" More like Apple innovates, the entire PC industry rips off and sells. Dell in this case has just taken it a notch up and didn't even bother to rip it off...
