    Chimera 0.2.7!

Yeah, shoulda just put this one on the Chimera thread. Maybe 0.3 will deserve its own... I dunno, I was kinda hoping downloading would work in this one. As in, it would actually be implemented in the interface, not the pathetic husk of a download manager we have now. But it would be...

I got to see Episode II today!

<sarcasm> The Phantom Menace pales in comparison to it? No way! </sarcasm> Great, rinse, now you got me all excited about seeing it. My life was so much easier when I didn't give a crap about the second Star Wars movie. :D -the valrus

Why is writing C so hard!

Yeah shrill, perl's real easy to read. :D I learned C++ in high school but I'm kinda rusty now. I took two computer science courses this year but neither had any real programming in it. So I'm stuck doing recreational projects in Python (not that I'm complaining; Python is fantastic) until I...

    Do You Pay For Shareware?

I've paid for one piece of shareware in my life, and that was Melody Assistant, the best shareware music composition program ever, all things considered. I believe it was either $15 or $25 for a damn powerful program. Compared to the cost of every other composition software I've ever seen, it is...

    The Chimera Thread

Who said that was the main attraction? I like that it seems very promising, but I think that even if you don't consider its sub-1.0 version number it's still a decent browser. Might just be different systems and browsing habits, but I haven't really had any stability problems. No more than...

Mozilla + OS X is awesome, but...

Ooohh... Pinstripe is NICE. Maybe I can stop using Internet Exploder once and for all now that Mozilla is faster, non-M$, just as powerful, AND just as nice-looking. -the valrus

Mozilla + OS X is awesome, but...

Right now I have RC1, which crashes when I try to get a theme. Apparently I need to try one of the nightly builds - maybe I will sometime. For now, though, Chimera suits me just fine in 95% of what I do on the web. -the valrus

    The Chimera Thread

I've tried iCab and I did not like it. It may be faster than Chimera but, well, that won't make me use it. :p So I don't know that I am qualified to draw a comparison... -the valrus

Mozilla + OS X is awesome, but...

As a web designer, rinse, shouldn't you be testing your page on all kinds of browsers so as to make sure everyone can see it properly? I prefer not to see tags on pages saying "This page should be viewed with Internet Explorer." -the valrus

    The Chimera Thread

Personally, my vigilance for the 0.0.0.1 release was because the previous one crashed! I like Chimera because it's fast, clean, and promising. It renders pages quickly, correctly and beautifully even at this early stage. All the basic functionality aside from downloading is here, and even...

    The Chimera Thread

Mozilla RC1 on OS X is nasty-ass. The theme is screwed up and it crashes when I try to get a new one! I'll try my luck with 0.2.6... -the valrus
