Senne: I'm in the U.S. I hook up cable tv to the eyetv. its capable of just about every format though i'm not sure about satelite stuff. I just got mine today and its cool! I will use it for recording but for watching live tv probably keep it to my tv for that.

Check www.elgato.com for an update. I was told by the seller i bought the eyetv from that the latest update enables it to wake from sleep mode.

This is the only program that works for me to view DIVX files perfectly with sound. I'm going to download the update right now.

Anyone anyone? Also can you convert the shows to quicktime?

hmm yea i think i'll pass. I didn't know the hd was formatted and all that. And i'd rather have the touch sensitive wheel on the new one if i'm going to pay that much. Do you have the Apple Care warrenty? If so give apple a call. Sounds like something sinister. I have a G4/466 as well and have no such noise.

Any ideas would help me out a lot. I am using IE 5.2.2 and trying ot access yahoo chat. it gives me a bunch of problems (it is java crap) but at home on my moms imac it works just fine. I cna't figure it out. I tried to trash some prefs but with X i have no idea what i am supposed to get rid...

I would go with crucial.com 's memory. You pay a little bit extra but the performance of the ram is much better then the cheap generic chips.

Well actually all I have are 50 dollar sony studio headphones that are pretty good quality and its easy to tell the difference in mp3 rates. (eg 128, 192 etc). Maybe its my discerning ear but 128 mp3's annoy me. I can hear the quality.
