Well you can build your own G4 and run MAC OS X. Apparently it is possible:

PS. Watch the video. You'll see it IS running X.
Talking down to employees and treating them like garbage isn't going to help your case it will only hurt it. Everyone here that has had a customer service job regardless of the industry knows this. Think about it. If i'm yelling in your ear about how stupid you are you really think you are going...
Watch out. If your looking for quality don't get it. If your looking to have ANY control over your camera don't get it. If your looking to shoot home video footage and make family videos then maybe its for you.
Your going to have to pay 500+ right now if you want quality.
I'm waiting a few...
I don't see why an eMac wouldn't be fine for video editing. Sounds like your going to do short movies so that helps in regards to HD space. Just remember though that the eMac will be very limited when it comes time for upgrades if you will be in to that sort of thing. Thats what held me back...
I've heard some people complain about the stand breaking but i've never had that problem at all. Just be careful when you buy monitors on ebay. Because ebay is like a box of chocolates. Sometimes ya never know what you are really going to get. ;)
Happy hunting.
I have the monitor. I got it when i got my 466mhz when it was new. It was kinda pricey b ut worth it. nothing but good times with it no trouble at all. So crisp and clear i love it. Its really great an looks really awesome on the desk.
Out of curiousity how much are you expecting to pay for it?
Typical. Did anyone else not see this coming? The clever marketing ploy. When you think its going to be gone your ready for it to be done and they say "WAIT! WE ARE EXTENDING IT SO YOU CAN SUBSCRIBE!". This is so typical.
Well sorry Apple. I'm not drinking the Kool-Aid this time ;)
