Well, I'm just going to bump this back up. It turned out that 10.3.1 did not fix this problem, and it has still been driving me mad for ages; however, so far it seems 10.3.5 has finally fixed this bug, and my fingers are crossed that this is not another false alarm.

There are quite a few people on eBay (in the UK at least) who sell unbranded AirPort cards. They're not much cheaper than the AirPort ones, but they are still cheaper and work fine. The one I got was made by IBM. It's possible IBM also sells these to someone else who shoves their branding...

If you just want them for slide-shows or emailing, then I'd just store them at the resolution of your screen, as then they'll be ideal for a full-screen slide show. This would probably leave them still at 1025x768 minimum though - which could still be too big. Why not just take the CDs...

Are there any yet? Or are there any nice 3rd gen ones that aren't designed specifically to incorporate the buttons on the 3rd gen? The only feature that it must offer is screen protection.

Oh, and nobody seems to have mentioned EyeToy. This uses the USB port. Personally, I use the USB port on my PS2 for EyeToy and for connecting a keyboard to use for chatting on online games (SSX 3 and Amplitude).
