hey my imac has been doing that exact same thing recently. Most of the time I can just restart it and it goes back to normal. And I have never kicked it either, heh. It's a couple years old, but I'd hope the tube wouldn't be going bad this soon.

maybe you'd like wclock (not world clock). It takes the place of the mac clock, but when you click it, a calender slides down. Very cool, and doesn't take up extra desktop space. And it's free at versiontracker http://www.versiontracker.com/moreinfo.fcgi?id=7766&db=mac

yeah I've had that problem a lot too with certain jpegs opening very small in preview. I'm sure it's just a bug, but I thought it would be fixed on 10.1.2 for sure. Maybe if all this talk about iphoto is true then that will be some better software that can just replace Preview. I'd be happy...

I don't think I'll be kissing Ulrik's ass. I think he's got it about right. Jobs will definitely present a flat panel imac on the 7th. Chaning the date of the keynote to the day before the exhibit floor opens, and all this flat screen purchasing etc... I think we're all in for a treat...

so is there conformation of the imac2? Any interesting links?

All I'm waiting for after photoshop, is Digital Performer. I know it's in the works, but it'll probably be awhile.
