Under OS 9 and earlier I was able to select files in the finder, hit cmd <c> to copy the text of these filenames to the clipboard, and then be able to paste that text into documents, email, etc. I do this all the time... Tiger and Epson R800
I have the exact same problem and it's been driving me nuts. I'm using drivers off the supplied Epson CD-rom. I've not been able to get the R800 to work under OSX.
