Thanks for the thread, but those are different issues. I can't pull the power clip and the other long plastic connecting piece from the drive and I don't want to break it. Is there a secret to performing this operation?
My external hd was not functioning. The problem is in the bridge. I found a new 6 pin bridge to mount the hard disk. I am having trouble removing the plastic clip with the four wires coming out of it from the disk to exchange bridges. Thanks.
Thanks for the help. I am using a dual 867 MHz Power PC G4 with 768 MB SDRAM running on OSX.3.7. I have isolated the problem in the bridge of the external drive. I located a new bridge and am having trouble removing the clip from the disk to the bridge. Any thoughts?
I have a 120 GB iomega external hd. The drive will not mount in OSX. Not located in Dick Utility. Can someone out there walk me through the process of inserting the drive from the defunct external into my mac.
