iPhone SDK - App not opening on phone

The iPhone SDK is still under NDA. This means that unfortunately we can't legally talk about it.

The end of the relationship between O2 & Apple?

I don't think there's anything released on how long the contracts are for any of the carriers.

Sorry, the iPhone SDK is still under NDA so we can't talk about it openly until the NDA is lifted.

Time Machine only dedicated to external HD?

Yes, Time Machine will back up your pictures by default. Time Machine will use your entire hard drive space for backups. When it gets full, it will start to delete older backups. Therefore it's usually best to have a dedicated backup drive rather than put other things on there unless it's a...

Was yours SIM unlocked at all? I'm waiting because I'm not sure what will happen with my SIM unlocked one which was required for me to use it in Canada.

    OS market shares

If the curve gets to be 60-70% Windows, why would Apple see a benefit in selling for regular PCs? If it gets that low they're already probably taking that market with their own hardware. I don't think Apple wants to be at 90% of the market because when you have something like that then you...

    htaccess redirect question??

This is on the server so the browser doesn't care. It'll receive the http 301 code which says redirect to this other URL. You would put this .htaccess file in your html root for that domain and you have to have htaccess files enabled in your httpd.conf apache config file.

Possible new Snow Leopard security improvements

http://blogs.zdnet.com/security/?p=1325 Full address space randomization No Execute on heap, not just the stack 64 bit processes: Function arguments passed in registers, not the stack. Makes it much harder to exploit with address space randomization and NX on heap and stack Fully...

The threat is low. Don't open email attachments from people you don't know, and don't download strange programs from strange websites. If you follow that you are OK.

    Snow Leopard

I really doubt the Spring release. More like WWDC 09 or after. I know they are touting no new features but that's not really going to be true. The applications team, for example Mail or iCal aren't going to be letting those apps sit for a year. No doubt there will be some new features...

    dotMac becoming MobileMe

Push email and push calendars aren't the same as push notifications. The notifications is just a notification and no data like that new email that just came in. They might have their own custom background processes that receive the notifications and automatically update the email or calendar...

They did for the push email with Exchange Active Sync but I'm not sure what they're doing with the MobileMe but now actually there is some confidential stuff that I think might have answered my question.

    dotMac becoming MobileMe

That would be nice but I am hoping that they incorporate whatever they are using into OS X server so a company can use OS X for email and get the same functionality. Don't tell me they have Exchange servers running at Apple for this.. They must be using some custom implementation or something.

    Wwdc 2008

Apple had a financial reason to switch to Intel. If we were still with PPC now then Apple would probably be tanking and they knew it. Right now they are gaining market share in the consumer space and if they released a generic version of OS X for any grey box they would either sell it as it is...
