    I would pickup an FTP (file transfer protocol) client http://www.fetchsoftworks.com/ for OS 9 and turn on FTP in OSX - then FTP all the files from OSX to her OS9 Box. Then after the upgrades is done, ftp the files back.

    Yup.. you get the idea.. so create the message.. send it.. but set mail to not deliver right away.. OR create the email body in a text message.. have automator send an email to a specified address and include the file as an attachment? Na, I don't like that either... :)
