I still prefer chimera also. It does seem slightly faster, and I prefer its interface, and it has tabbed browsing.

in the resexcellence.com desktop picture archive there is a desktop picture with what you describe.

in netinfo manager, you navigate to /users/<username> and click on that. Then scroll down to where it says "home" and to the right of that should be "/users/<name>". Change that text to wherever you want to, if it is another partition/HD, it will have to be "/volumes/<volume name>/..." you will...

it can't hold as much RAM, less processor speed, no ambient keyboard, some other stuff like that.

I'm in complete agreement with ed on this one, brushed metal looks good on iTunes, and pretty much nothing else. Although its not bad on iCal :) everything else would be better in standard Aqua, IMO.

I'm sticking with chimera, still my favorite browser. I have a strong emotional attachment to it ;) :p plus, its fully open source, unlike safari, has tabs, a nicer interface, etc. etc.

Since chimera is fully open sourced, couldn't you tinker with and do whatever you want to it, instead of safari?

well, not to criticize or anything, but wasn't it kinda, um, "bad planning" on your part to get a powerbook two weeks before macworld?

tabs are underrated you mean? ;) tabs are the greatest thing to happen to web browsing since the invention of the "back" button, IMHO :D
