    NTL Broadband wifi (wireless)

I have an NTL set top box with which I receive a broadband connection at home. It's not a seperate cable modem - just a set top box with a 5 metre ethernet cable connected to my powerbook, and I want to get rid of the cable and get set up with wifi. I've found some products online which I...

PCMCIA (cardbus) to USB 2.0 adaptor

PCMCIA (cardbus) to USB 2.0 adaptor I've seen one of these made by Adaptec and they say it works on a mac (powerbook). It costs about £35.00 but I've also seen other cards which do the same thing on ebay for about £12.00 Question: Has anyone ever used one of these and does anyone know...

    DVD Writer

I (stupidly) bought a DVD+RW, it's now for sale and going to be replaced with a Pioneer DVD+/-RW drive. I've found a local company selling this: Pioneer DVR-106 DVD +/-R/RW Ivory 4 speed IDE OEM [Drive only] Can anyone tell me if this is the correct drive I've read about on other posts...

    DVD+RW device-plugin required

Most bizzarely, I've just been using iPhoto and clicked the burn button. The DVD+RW tray slid out and a message appeared asking me to insert a blank disk! So, if iPhoto supports the drive then why not iTunes - surely they use a common device-driver in the system?

    DVD+RW device-plugin required

Is there anyone out there who can make a device-plugin? I bought a Lite-On CDRW a few months back, fine with Toast but I couldn't burn from the Desktop or iTunes. I hunted around and found a device-driver which some clever brainiac had made, that sorted the problem out. I've since upgraded...

    Toast & DVDs

Just got a DVD+RW and put it in an external FW case - works fine for burning, but... When I try to erase a RW disk, it seems to take for ever and I end up force quitting because there's no light in my DVD+RW drive to suggest the drive is busy. With quick erase it tells me it's done but then...

Recently bought Lite-On DVD+RW. Having few teething probs though. Toast is fine for burning but cannot burn from desktop. Also, Toast will not succesfully erase my DVD+RW disk, says it has but then if I ask it to burn, it says "Cannot burn this disk do you want to erase" or something like...

OS 9.2.2 to OS X 10.1 Networking Problem

I actually solved the problem this morning. I'm no expert on TCP/IP but I thought that if I set it to ethernet, my internet connection would try to use it. It doesn't, I set TCP/IP to ethernet instead of PPP and now I can connect to the OS X machine, my modem still dials up ok with these...
