    6C9X build tested here.

I think that any information regarding places to get jaguar will be quickly removed by the mods (and rightfully so). Be patient like most of the rest of us! :) macosXrumors: yeah, that disk cache thing has fooled me more than once. I should start writing reminders on my forehead...

Looks to me like the page hasn't updated yet--the last article is on 6C85.

    Apple Security Update

Yeah, the same thing happened with me. I had 10 inactive updates (mostly regionalization stuff), and they all disappeared.

    QuickTime Satellite

So do the Apple stores always have the broadcasts on satellite TV? If so, I might have to make the trip. . . It would be even better if I could pick up some new hardware while I was there (but that seems unlikely--or might it be possible?)

    The bug is back!

Great call, testuser! I removed Silk from the system, and my strange bug is gone. Thanks for the tip!

    Speechtechnology Organisation

 Say what? So Herve, is your name Tree over on MacFora? There seems to be a remarkable similarity between Tree's posts there and yours here. ;) :)

    The bug is back!

I don't know of anything I've installed that patches the kernel. I guess I did have Tinkertool installed for a while (but got rid of it) and Silk, but I'm not using Silk any more. Other than that, just regular apps. I'll have to see about removing Silk and seeing what happens.

Let's see if your real face looks better than your desktop. Post your pic!

Oh man, that one's a keeper, along with the Curious George pics--has everyone seen those--if not, I'll post 'em. :p :D

How did you come to MacOSX.com?

As I understand it, Admin registered the domain name pretty quickly after Apple announced the name of the new OS (which was WELL before the release). Opportunistic, huh? Strong work, Admin! :D

    BOOOOO for the Lakers

Hmm. Too bad. :( I hate to hear about things like that getting between people. I trust that next year either Sacramento or Dallas (go Mavs! ) will be able to defeat the Lakers. After all, Sacramento came within a few missed free throws and some *creative* officiating of beating...

I really struggled to get through eXistenZ. And then the ending really let me down. I don't know--maybe I've lost touch with the sci-fi genre (although I'm not sure that one would classify this as sci-fi). It just seemed to drag on and on through reality after reality without furthering the...

Any Discover Card users out there?

Say, have you had problems downloading your statements from within Quicken? Every time I've tried recently it's failed. So how long have you been using your card? I got their platinum card after about four or five years only.

What's The Weirdest This That Ever Happened To You?

Oooh, creepy, evildan. My vote (as if I had one, or that it matters) goes to you! :D Unfortunately I have no such creepy stories to tell. *homer bows out in shame*

I thought I should revive this thread after having just seen The Whole Nine Yards (twice). That movie rocks! Amanda Peet is amazing (yeah yeah, for her acting too). ;) :p

Do Apple's Policies Help It's Competitors?

But how to do that without looking smug? Smugness has never increased market share. Ah well, that's why they pay advertising firms lotso dough.. :p But back to the question, yes, I think Apple makes it easier for their competitors--the competitors can sit back and watch Apple...

    BOOOOO for the Lakers

Wow, no Lakers fans on this board? Just goes to show, Mac users are smart! ;) Geez, xoot, I hope it wasn't basketball that made your friend a former friend. :( :)

    The bug is back!

Eh? What's loginwindow? I've never seen that before. The strange thing is that back when the original thread was posted, lots of people had this odd behavior, but lots didn't. Really weird. Any other changes? Well, now sometimes when I'm in the Finder I'll click on menus or icons...

    The bug is back!

Well, if it's an application conflict that can happen when no applications other than the Finder are running (obviously there are plenty of processes running, though), then maybe. Here's the message I get in the system log when I do it: Jun 13 09:42:50 localhost WindowServer[315]...
