    New Tiger screenshots

Yeah I know, Fryke.. but you seem so knowledgable that it's fun to point out your shortcomings. :P

    New Tiger screenshots

I like the fact that the volume name is blurred out on the icon text but not the description underneath it. :P

new emac update very very soon?

Well it all depends what Apple wants to do. If they want to remain a niche market, then they shouldn't try to compete with PC prices... the Porsche for $15000 analogy is a valid one. But, all their current moves seem to be to try to get the PC market to come back from the dark side...

new emac update very very soon?

If Apple is smart, they'll turn the eMac into a viable low-cost option to capture the low-end PC market. There's a big market of people that just want the cheapest machine they can find. If they hit the right price point, they can capture a big part of that market and turn some PC users into...

    Colour iPod (merged thread)

The idea of two iPod lines with different functionality seems like a little too much speculation. I would bet they liked the idea of making a smaller one because first of all, they could, and second, because they knew people would prefer to have the player be as small as possible. It seems...

    iMac G5

After seeing that gallery (tx moav), I feel a lot better about this design. It actually looks pretty slick. They need to put better pics on the Apple site.

HP iPod isn't blue at all

Sorry, I meant to retract that... You can link to it from the HP site, so it's obviously not a fake. There were a lot of bad links and links to "#", but that's probably just because it's a new site. My bad.

HP iPod isn't blue at all

Are you sure about that site? It looks fake to me... a good fake, but a fake nonetheless.

    First new iMac images ??

If that were the new iMac, no one would buy it. It's the worst design I've ever seen. Even the first iMac is better than that piece of crap. Who wants their monitor sitting on the desk like that? It needs to be at eye-level. Obviously a fake.

    Static on iTunes CD's

Popping is usually a buffering problem, but I've only seen that in the recording phase of a professional recording session using external sound cards/boards (and only on a Windows machine). I would recommend reducing the burn rate and trying again. If that doesn't work, try converting the...

    10.3.5 Strikes Back!

I had that problem a while ago and I ended up having to do a clean install. Sucks.

    wwdc updates

I have been wishing all morning that I could have seen the keynote live. Now, I'm glad I didn't waste the time. I think there was a serious lack of product introduction. He didn't even do the "wait, there's one more thing" bit at the end. Oh well. There's always MacWorld. I'll see you...

    NEW - Airport Express

Just a note: Airport Extreme also has USB printer sharing. Additionally, it has a second ethernet port so you can connect to both a wired network and an Internet connection (e.g. Cable modem).

    OS X Tiger?

Okay, but to be fair: Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition Upgrade Date first available at Amazon: August 24, 2001 What did it cost on August 24, 2001? And why haven't they updated it in the last 3 years?

    OS X Tiger?

To continue the discussion you claim we aren't having, how can you call Exposé and Fast User-switching minor UI tweaks? How about encrypting and decrypting your home folder on the fly... a minor UI tweak? And speculation is merely that. The Tiger release seems to be more tight-lipped than...

    OS X Tiger?

I'm sorry... I didn't realize there was a feature list for Tiger anywhere. Listen, with all due respect, both of you guys need to go cry somewhere else. Compare Mac OS X updates with Windows updates, both in features, cost, and frequency. There is no question Apple has it right. There is a...

More Mac Vs. PC Ammo Fer Ya

I'd agree that it's getting to the point where we don't need to defend Apple. Even most PC people don't like their PCs anymore... but Mac people still love our Macs, because Apple keeps giving us reasons to love them.

    Apple stock

If Apple moves into the home entertainment market, it could be a smart investment. I would put a little money down on it just to see. I think people are fed up with Windows and Longhorn is gonna be a huge flop. It won't take long for Apple to take over if it keeps working the entertainment...
