What ever happened to the movement of playing PS2 games, or maybe it was PS1 games, on your Mac. I read about this a long time ago, the software actually allowed PS games to be inserted and played. Anyone else ever hear of this?

Are you crazy? You are going to perform surgery on the beautiful 17" PB?!?! I would definitely not advise this. First, it voids your warranty. Second, how are you going to install software without an optical drive? Are you putting in a replacement? Finally, I don't know if it would fit...

Is it possible to daisychain VGA to DVI to ADC connectors? I bought one of those VGA cables for my G4 iMac, and want to use that hack to enable dual displays. Could I use an ADC Apple Studio Display anyway possible? If not, do any flat panel screens have VGA connections? Thanks.

Seems as though you cannot highlight text in an HTML page and cmd-click (or right mouse click) the text and get a menu to copy it. Works in a text field however. Anyone send this bug in yet?

AAC stands for advanced audio codec. That's about all I know. I think AAC is the same as MP4 (mpeg 4), or maybe AAC is the codec used to encode MP4 files, kind of like there are different codecs used to encode MP3s ... what's that popular one Frohousier or something like that.

I've been waiting months to rip my entire collection of music into AAC format. Is Apple ever going to implement this into iTunes? Maybe someone will know this question, but could an AAC file contain an ID3 tag? I don't see why not. I guess I'll just start encoding everything in mp3 format...

I don't believe the keyboard on the 12 inch PowerBook has autosensing lights, though I may be wrong.

Do you really think Apple would spend the extra money developing something like this, when people could bring (assuming they had one) their iBook or PowerBook and show others their photos? It's a possibility, however I don't think they would use an 8-inch screen. I'd believe an 8-inch LCD...

Now if they'd only release a toolbox for most of them. Atleast I don't think they have. The only way I can scan is using Photoshop and import from the scanner. Doing this brings up a toolbox, but that's the only way to get it I believe.

Maybe they mean that they are cancelling the 17 inch studio display. Maybe they are cutting prices on LCDs and only offering 19s, 22s, and 23s. Creates somewhat of a gap however ...

Just about every Canon scanner has a driver now available from Canon. My 1220U scans pretty nicely too.

I think I will go with that setup. It's too bad an Airport Base Station is so expensive. Not to mention, the Airport BS has no switches on it, so if you wanted more than 1 computer 'wired' to it, you'd have to buy a seperate switch. And if something is released at MWSF, a 30 day return policy...

Do I want a WAP or router? I got the impression an access point was just to boost the signal the wireless router sends out. I was thinking of getting a Netgear mr314 or mr814, connecting cable moden and iMac to it, and then having either a USB reciever or PCI card on the VAIO. Would that work?
