    You need to send some "magic" packages to wake up your sleeping iMac. I have seen an app "wakeonlan" that can do this. Dont know if this is a solution for you though.

    You should probably just check the word you have just typed. Check the previous word when the user types a space, tab etc. or when the user wants to leave the editpoint with a mouse click.

    This must be some extension conflict, I run Photoshop 6, Filemaker Pro, Simple Text and a lot of other apps in classic and it works better than in OS-9.

    Drag the accounts in the account list in the Mail prefs pane so that the one you want to be default comes first.

    I think this refers to logged on users in terminal + one for the console. If you just close a terminal window without doing the exit command the user remains in the user count , at least for a while.
