Does jaguar crash more than OSX.1 ?

I found out (the hard way) that I need to have the same amount (or more) free disk space as I have Ram (512Mb). I think this has something to do with some calculation errors regarding free space on the disk. When the finder reported 200Mb free I got disk full error when trying to duplicate a...

    DragGrayRgn problems in CW10

When upgrading to Jaguar an old program written in C in CW10 starts to act weird (running in classic). DragGrayRgn does not erase the rect when dragging, leaving a trail of black rectangles om the screen, in 10.1.x it worked ok. I know it's a wild try to ask such a question here, but someone...

    How to remove resource fork?

    > One thing though: 10.2 recreates the desktop icon immediately. And isn't that in the resource fork? If there is no icon resource , the file gets an icon depending on the file extension .jpg .txt and so.

    How to remove resource fork?

There is a freeware utility called GrimRipperCM to do this without the terminal. I haven't tried it myself though. http://free.abracode.com/cmworkshop/

    How to remove resource fork?

If you are located in the right folder you don't have to write the full path. Open the terminal, type "cd " (a space at the end, no return) then click on the folder icon at the top of your finder window, hold and drag it to the terminal and the path to that folder is pasted into the terminal...

    The Reach of Rendezvous

Take a look at this: http://www.macosxhints.com/article.php?story=20021008063606483 "Add a neighborhood to the Connect to Server dialog". Don't know if this is what you want, perhaps it is. I can't test it myself, I only have my own local neighborhood to play with. It's probably just...

    gcc?

Here is my result: /usr/bin/gcc /usr/include/gcc /usr/lib/gcc /usr/libexec/gcc For some reason you seem to miss the /usr/bin , can't help you here, i'm confused too. I think i would re-install X and go from there. You could try the "Repair privileges" in Disk Tool, but I really...

    gcc?

I'm sure that you _could_ install it by dragging it manually from the CD. (I don't have the CD here right now) but it's probably stored in some compressed format on the CD. And I'm sure that you'd have to install a lot of libraries and other stuff to make it work, so i don't think it's as easy...

echo $path and see if /usr/bin is included, also check in /usr/bin so that you see that gcc really is there.
