    Safari + PHPMyAdmin = :(

I would, but its a monster on a password-protected corporate server. Im gonna experiment with some of the other buckets and see if anything develops.

    Safari + PHPMyAdmin = :(

I cant share my particular database with anyone, but I found out today that my PHPMyAdmin interface (to MySQL DB) loads a pretty blank screen when I want to 'Browse' one of my buckets. It's fine in IE/NS7, anyone else know what I'm talking about?

I switched back to 9 for now.

Yeah, this is probably just a hiatus, until I get fired up about some kind of development project. :)

I switched back to 9 for now.

I had a work weekend at home, that required me to switch back to 9 so I could get the most out of my apps. Well, that was 3 weeks ago, and I have enjoyed the familarity and speed of OS9. What can I say? It just feels quicker, and leaner...not to mention my apps (Thousands of $$ worth) are all...

what should a designer's resume look like?

A designer's resume should be written in sharpie on a manaquin arm that starts with "I'd give my right arm to work for you"... Just Kidding. :D Part of the designer's job is to create new ways of communicating information in a way that is more efficient and interesting. The resume is a...

This Jag is a dog, again!

My only gripe with Jaguar so far, is that it has taken me up to 5 minutes to shut down....and that was immediately after running Mac Janitor (cause?).

    Acrobat OS 9 issue

I remember seeing something like a "force download fonts" option somewhere in the print dialog. That might be unchecked.

PHP: How do i work with loops

I think in this case, since it appears that $row[1] will only have one of those listed values, that an else statement wont be needed. There is a switching shortcut way to do this kind of thing, but I think it only applies to assigning a new value to one of the arguements being evaluated, not...

PHP: How do i work with loops

    Try this way: if ( $row[1] == "Strongly Disagree") { $Q1SD++; }; if ( $row[1] == "Sorta Disagree") { $Q1KD++; }; if ( $row[1] == "Disagree") { $Q1D++; }; if ( $row[1] == "Agree") { $Q1A++; }; if ( $row[1] == "Sorta Agree") { $Q1KA++; }; if ( $row[1] == "Strongly Agree") {...

    Non-Mac-centricity on a Mac site

Well, the vBulletin setup probably comes with colored scrollbars as an option by default, and the authors just decided to set it for something instead of trying to delete it? right? The next version of IE for Mac might have this included...so why not leave the option there if it doesn't hurt...

Any made for Mac DHTML editors out there?

By the way, there is a pretty good amount of css attributes you can apply to standard dropdowns (option/select) to make them have a nice look and feel. Here are some tools for quick-building CSS stuff: http://www.w3.org/Style/CSS/#editors

first time setting up a small network. I want to learn

I second binaryDigit's advice. An internal Web or Mail server complicates things in a way that doesn't have much payoff for a small group. http://www.hostway.com has a pretty good deal on Web Server with Email, plus you could open a port on your local network through the router control panel...

Any made for Mac DHTML editors out there?

I'd say those usual ones are going to have the most robust DHTML support for WYSIWYG. Very few of the text-only editors have DHTML dialogs. You ever go to a site with DHTML sub-menus that pop up like somewhere near the bottom or middle of the screen? :( So far, I've been avoiding implementing...

    textedit won't run

Well that would explain why there's no prefs. :( I'm by no means an expert here, but another thing you could check is 'About this Mac'...the first thing under the apple-menu. Then click 'More', which should open the Apple System Profiler... it takes a minute to look at your computer, then...

    textedit won't run

You could try to move your preferences for textedit out and see if that was the problem. Look in your home foler under Library-->Preferences for a file called com.apple.TextEdit.plist move that file out to the desktop, then try to launch textedit. It should create a fresh preference fle...
