Try going to the top Finder menu-bar, Select 'Go' then 'Go to Server', Then select 'Browse', hopefully you should be able to locate your TM backup.

On your Laptop... you need to log onto your NAS drive, locate and open the TM dmg file. Now it should show up as a selection when you check "Browse other Time Machine disks" I just tried this and it works for me.

I just checked 3 separate computers (two different OS's 10.5.8 and 10.6.6), and in each case that folder is empty.

Have you tried just clearing the cache? Click on "Safari" in the menu bar then select "Empty Cache".
