    Try going to the top Finder menu-bar, Select 'Go' then 'Go to Server', Then select 'Browse', hopefully you should be able to locate your TM backup.

    On your Laptop... you need to log onto your NAS drive, locate and open the TM dmg file. Now it should show up as a selection when you check "Browse other Time Machine disks" I just tried this and it works for me.

    Bill, you can still order Snow Leopard from Apple, $29.

    Your lack of good information is only exceeded by your twin (LeoTheLion89). Snow Leopard is neither "obsolete" nor hard to find, and did not cost $129 new. You can still buy it from Apple for $29 same price as it always has been.
