The iBook screen dimming is set to happen at half the time it takes for your screen to black out. So if you had it set to black out at 45 minutes, then the screen would dim at 22.5 minutes. Unfortunately, I don't know of any way to change this.

Sometimes, if the names of your bookmarks are long, that can cause slow downs. Try renaming some of your bookmarks to have a shorter name and see if that helps any. I don't think that'll speed up the page loading any, though.

If you mean mixing C/Obj-C C++/Obj-C++, then no, none that I have ever noticed. If you mean with the bridges, then most likely there's some performance issues. I can't say for sure, as I haven't even attempted to use them.
