thats how i broke mine for my iBook. and i tried a whole bunch of stores including two Apple stores nearby where I live and they didnt have it. I had to get a 3rd party unit which works but doesnt have the cute light indicator

i dont need extreme as i dont have a need to get a new base station... bluetooth is nice but not critical to own internally. im leaning to the 667 or 800 ti now.

phatsharpie... do you have airport on your Ti? if so, how is the reception.

i am only concerned about the warping and flaking of the Ti. Is it almost endemic or only an unlucky few who experience that.

I currently have an iBook which is great, but I yearn to get a G4 for on the go stuff. Currently, i'm doing research and do work on image manipulation in addition to word processing, and making presentations. My dilemma is this... Which powerbook to get? I do like the 12" AlBook on...

I'm not a "switcher" per se, because I use PCs at work, but I bought my quicksilver tower before it became fashionable to switch.

I guess Steve was wrong. I tried to export an Keynote project to Powerpoint and I had difficulty doing so. I was able to export to QT and to PDF, but powerpoint was a no go. Anyone else had a similar experience or problem? Otherwise I love the program. :)

How about the remaining apple hardware lineup? With the exception of the G3 iMacs, do you think there will be minor revisions to incorporate AE into them? Otherwise this upgrade doesnt make much sense because only the new AlBooks will be able to use AE

i posted i would go with the 12" model. my only pet peeves is limit of 640 mb of ram and bigger cache like others here have posted. while i would love the backlit keyboard i truly dont need it, but i want a g4 very badly in place of my iBook. if money where no object then i would go for the 17".

does this mean that the other top line units such as the mirrored g4 towers and iMacs will receive updates soon? or cards to add fw800 to older g4 towers?

my only interest would be if perhaps PS2 were to adopt an adapter or such which would allow it to wirelessly connect without any jury rigging to AirPort sharing a cable modem or DSL modem. That would be sweetness :)

i myself cant wait to get the program. I will use it at work for my presentations using my laptop to wow the crowd instead of the boring dreary ppt presentations we all know and love to hate.
