    Apple ][ software

Well... Would you be willing to part ways with some of them?! We had a bunch back home, but my parents are moving and threw out boxes of Apple II disks a week before I obtained the Apple II!

    Lion thoughts

One thing I do wonder about is the server software. I feel as though they are trying to toss out anything to do with a server. They discontinued the Xserve, and put a modified MacMini in it's place. I understand that they want to get the high end stuff into the everyday consumers hand. That's...

    iCloud

Yah, but I'm curiously as to whether or not they will know if it is pirated music or not. Meaning that Apple would probably give you a better copy of the music to use from the cloud even if the music is pirated. I guess they don't really care.

    iCloud

I don't think Apple has really given any timeline to how long iCloud will be free, thus I'm hoping it will be indefinite. The fact that Apple will sell Lion for $29 just like Snow Leopard makes pretty obvious that they get their money from somewhere other than Software. Maybe they do expect to...

    Lion thoughts

I have to agree with you on that. When I was watching the keynote, I kept on feeling as though they were changing it into a mobile operating system. Dumbing down some of the features so that it's easier to use on a small touch screen or something like that. Don't get me wrong, they are adding a...

    Lion thoughts

Well here's some more rants. I also don't like how the took away the Control-Two Finger zoom. It also seems that my fans spin up all the time with Lion for some odd reason, even when just going through the finder. Odd, but maybe the finder just uses more CPU? One thing I do like is the auto...

13" MacBook Pro airport card/wireless hardware problems

I'm not sure what the idea of InsomniaX was, after all the signal dropped when the computer was awake anyways. What tells your friend that the Wi-Fi card is screwed up? Also, they were correct that in that Apple would fix your Wi-Fi card if it was under warranty and was a hardware problem, but...

    Lion thoughts

I miss all the color icons in the sidebar! I also don't like how all my drives are at the bottom of the sidebar. The scrolling did take some getting used to, but after I think about it, it does make much more sense. I feel like I'm missing out on half of the features in Lion because my trackpad...

    WiFi and Mini Cell Tower

Wow, 30 down and 5 up is pretty good. I feel like that's gotta cost an arm and a leg! After all, my college only has a 45 Mbps connect, but they get 45 for both up and down. That costs more than an arm and a leg though, I guess though that businesses are always charged more and we are in the...

    WiFi and Mini Cell Tower

Well, from what I've seen about MicroCell, everything about it seems like it's a totally rip off. I guess the only time you would want it is if there was absolutely no coverage in your area. However, I would rather just get an extender and stick a giant antenna on my house.

    WiFi and Mini Cell Tower

Just a random thought that crossed my mind the other day. Why don't they sell AP's (Access Points) that do both 802.11 and say CDMA? I'm guessing it's impossible in some way because someone would probably have done it by now. Could it be that cell companies wouldn't allow for you to extend...

MacBook problems and not an Apple Store in sight!

Final Update: I received my MacBook back today. They replaced the main logic board and also the entire top case including the case around the screen because it was all cracked. I'm happy with the repairs and them actually doing everything well, just wish the customer support had been better.

Mac os snow leopard run slow on macbook?

Just to give my two cents. My MacBook acted much different with 4 gb, it simply didn't even turn on at all. All it did was give me that nice solid white light in the front. Maybe you'll get different results with different ram or MacBook, but that's how mine acted with 4 gb.

MacBook problems and not an Apple Store in sight!

I must admit, I'm not too happy with Apple right now. I sent in my MacBook last Friday and since then there has not been an update to the repair status. I finally call in today an it turns out that they had actually lost it and when they finally found it again, then gave it a new repair number...

Is 3-Year AppleCare Protection Plan Worth It?

Well it was a first generation, so they might have ironed out the kinks by now so hopefully yours doesn't die!

Is 3-Year AppleCare Protection Plan Worth It?

Yep, totally worth it! As you can see by my other thread about my MacBook. My dad also has a MacBook air and he's actually brought his in numerous times and they been great about it. Random things have gone wrong, from hinges to video problems. I guess you never know when something is goin to go...

Mac os snow leopard run slow on macbook?

Max rum is always great ;D My MacBook runs great with Snow Leopard, it's all great because it uses less space due to Apple remoin universal binaries. I also look forward to upgrading to Lion when it comes out this summer. Of course I have 3 gb of ram, but when I had 2 gb it still ran great...

Mac OS X Snow Leopard and Gmail

The thread title says 10.6, thenI'm guessing your referring to Mac OS X 10.3, which doesn't run on an Intel processor. Thus, what system are you really running? And since you don't know what browser you are using... Is the icon a compass, a fox, or an 'O'?
