An iBook on a Novell Netware network *shudder*

I've actually gotta wait till I GET my iBook. *grins sheepishly* I can't buy it until I sell my bass guitar. But it shouldn't be long now. ANd yes, it IS BorderManager that they use. So, what kind of stuff am I going to need to find out from them, or what kind of stuff do they need to...

An iBook on a Novell Netware network *shudder*

As much as I hope that works, I don't know... I mean, some times, when we go into Internet Explorer, *shudder* it goes to a Novell error page and says "Could not connect because you are not logged in!" then the little Novell Client Trust icon appears in the task bar, and then we can use the net...

An iBook on a Novell Netware network *shudder*

When I get my iBook, I would find it REALLY useful to connect it to my school network, which is a Windows 2000/XP network, runing with Novell. I don' t so much need the file sharing access, as just printers and internet. I am pretty sure I can get the printer access by just connecting to the...

Spend up on a Airport Extreme Base Station, or try to find a second hand older one?

ALso, I jsut foudn this on the APple website (sorry about spelling, my hands are frozen) "If you have an Internet account that uses a device such as a DSL or cable modem, connect the device to the Ethernet wide area network (WAN) port on the AirPort Extreme Base Station the same way it was...

Spend up on a Airport Extreme Base Station, or try to find a second hand older one?

So... what the hell does the WAN port do then?! hehe Hmm, so would a second hand router be ok.. or are they often dodgy?

Spend up on a Airport Extreme Base Station, or try to find a second hand older one?

What I mean is, my ADSL modem only has one ethernet port, and this iMac doesn't have an AirPort card, so for the net to work on this, I'd have to connect this to the Base Station with a wire, yeah? But I don't have enough money to buy a base station AND a router....

    Digital Camcorder & i.link

No no no! I know that! I meant, the reason the really cheap camera have them is because it's nto as expensive for a port to be put on a camera as to put one on te computer! Don't worry, I know that it's the same thing (I use it afterall)

    Digital Camcorder & i.link

I'm guessing they've had them for so long because an i.Link port is realy cheap and easy for them to put on, whereas FireWire on teh computer requires a whoel extra bus?

Spend up on a Airport Extreme Base Station, or try to find a second hand older one?

Firstly, I'll start by saying I'm buying an iBook, so I don't need Airport Extreme as such. What are the differences between the snow base stations and the extreme ones, apart from the speed? Also, what are the main problems that affect second hand stations? I know that the graphite ones...

    "special" eMac keys...

I have an app called Key Xing... it's really good. It's got pre-made applescripts to control iTunes, as well as the CD drive and the volume.

    word x red squiggly lines

Have you checked what language dictionary you are using? Some dictionaries, I believe, you can't add to. If you're using English (US), check that the dictionary isn't full. THat was what happened to me on Word 2000 when I used a PC.

My iPod has gremlins in it...or?

My iPod does that at midnight. If it's off, and it's clock clicks over to the the day, the light will come on for a second, then go off. It's an original 10GB. Random, but it happens :S

    R.I.P. iPod. never again.

I've had a similar problem. I picked up my iPod and half of the little ring in the head phone jack just fell out. I sent it to APple through the AppleCentre I did work experience at. 3 months later, the AppleCentre called me to say that Apple had sent it back, but they didn' tknow why. A week...

    Mac OS X 10.3 "Panther" Won't Support G3

For gawd's sake! If the whole G3 support thing is the same as the QuartzExtreme, woul dit make you iBook and older iMac owners happier if they just didn't make the optimizations? I mean, c'mon, I'm sure Apple WOULD make the same optimizations on the G3, EXCEPT that the G3 doesn't have the...

    New iMacs at MWSF?

SLot loading will NOT happen on the G4 iMac. The curve on the front means it wouldn't fit, and it wouldn't fit with the 'hidden' drive theme.
