Very simple question. What is it? Also, what does "create archive" do? And why would making an alias be superior to duplicating it?

This battery on this new powerbook is pretty new. It's been calibrated. It's on 10.4.1. But even when I put settings on maximum battery life and turn off both airport and bluetooth, I only get about 3.5 hour battery life? Yet, apple advertises 5 hours. I want my hour and a half back!

When I first got a Mac, that was my opinion too. Now I'm a loyal Safari user. Though Firefox will always have a special place in my heart. Even though Safari is better for a Mac, all PC users should be switching to Firefox.

I get almost everything with quicksilver. I have no need to search for mail, and all my documents are one click away in finder. I'm not so lazy. Click-click is easier than opening spotlight and typing in the document name. Aliases, I have no clue what they do.

i nearly never touch spotlight due to quicksilver.

I had this problem, but then fixed it. There's definately a fix. I just forgot how. :/

go to safari menu, reset safari. it deletes cookies, history, and cache. also, you'll want to set the fonts folder as read-only. i forget how, but i'm sure someone will say.

depends on what you're getting. I'd say yes for Powerbook and Mini, no for iBook and Power Mac, and just dont get an iMac or eMac.

nah, its still a mac. g4s need to be gotten rid of. and i have faith that intel will far outdo the g5 by 2007. so i'm not worried at all.
