Games aren't a huge thing for me, but I would like to be able to open any game (for at least a year) and know it'll run on my iMac. Also, it would be great to run OS X a little faster that molasses in January.

Simply stuff IE and delete the original. That way you still have it, but the system doesn't know it ;)

OmniWeb only remembers the window position if you choose the menu item "Remember Window Position." I'm not sure which menu it's in (I'm in OS 9 right now).

I've always used OmniWeb, because it's the most aqua-ish browser, despite the speed problems.

I'll bet $100 that there are no menu effects other than fade in OS X.

Back in the days of OS 9, there was something similar to that in the Mac OS ROM file. Open it in BBEdit, and up pops a huge Mac logo :D While we're on the subject: has anyone found any other ASCII images in the OS?

Descent, Oni, Quake III, and UT all run fine on my comp, and I'm on a old 400 MHz iMac w/ a Rage 128 card. It would make sense that a computer with a processor over 2x the speed and a card 3x the speed (the iLamp) would do wonderfully!

There *was* a problem with iTunes 2.0.0 in Mac OS X - the installer might totally erase your hard drive. (!!!) But the updates have fixed the problem.
