Even though Keyspan release a final working driver for X. The problem is that Wacom's OSX driver currently only work with USB. Not serial.....and it seems Wacom has no plan to do the serial support in X....they are giving those serial tablet users some discount on USB tablet.....

When in pen mode you can adjust to set the stylus to work under 'absolute' or 'relative'..... 'relative' is like moving the mouse.... 'absolute' is that the entire surface is mapped to the screen. Four corners of the tablets equal to the four corners of the screen

Speed is pretty steller for a beta. Especially to screen redraw!!!!!! Serious. I remember Illustrator 10's betas were very very very slow...but not in PS.....but I still see some kind of chokes, maybe debugging code.... Memory allocation is exactly the same as the Windows version. You...

The cursor under Mouse mode is very fast but very smooth... The attachement shows you how to set up the cursor speed under mouse mode...hope it helps

We have version 7.02 and it works fine. Why do we need to have another version of NAV now? Are they going to pull out the definition list support to 7 when 8 goes final? :confused:

I only set my tablet to pen mode.

So far the only mouse vendor that has the custom mouse driver is Kensington. That's the reason why I bought their mouse.

I have no problems at all with my tablet under OS X :) Make sure you are using the latest driver. Like 4-7-1.8 Any version before this was very unstable.

The icon grey out "feature" is already on version 6. Some OS X native apps don't have the 'dot on red' feature.

I installed the update under Classic. When I click restart it just reboot the Classic environment. The OSX environment is still here. So no "true" reboot is needed :)

HyperLiteG4, you hardware don't qualify for realtime editing, unfortunately :( RealTime editing requires a G4 desktop with 500Mhz or higher, single or dual. For portable, RT requires a 667 Titanium.

It's fine and more stable then IE Page caching is still slower (but not very much) than IE. Also popping up new window or start a new window is kind of slow. Other than these I see no problem. I am using it now....

This maybe offensive to the desktop guru, but not the laptop guru ;)
