according to mactracker you do have the right firmware updater but looking at apple support your problem might be that you should be booting from os 9.1. in order to update the firmware have a look here (below the dloads) so if you're us 9.0 you should be upgrading to 9.1 to start off with...

there's a way to do it "automatically" by using fetch art it save a lot of time as it does search amazon.com or .co.uk or .de for you. If it doesn't find the artwork then you can apply the "manual" drag and drop I often look into allmusic.com or cduniverse.com as alternative sources for artwork.

try checking this thread iLife'05 is not part of the os it's a separate "group" of softwares, it comes installed with new Macs so the solution seems to be buying iLife'05...

How about updating iTunes to 6.0 and QT to 7.0.3 with software update if you have the latter it might be a compatibility issue as it works with iTunes 6.0 that being said I'm not running Tiger so I might not be that easy :) also out of curiosity what do you mean by "kill system power" ?

The list of applications installed can be viewed with system profiler located in utilities folder : under software > applications, and/or directly accessible through "about this mac" by clicking "more info"
