    Sleep vs ShutDown

The only time I shut my PB down is when I am transporting it, or a thunder storm. Outside of that, I do an occasional restart.

    Old G3 worth my time?

Yeah. You could find several uses for that computer. I set my old G3 Powermac up as a music server hosting several Grateful Dead shows. So, yeah, take it and use it.

    iSub not recognized

Okay, I see. Mine is older version of sound-sticks with iSub, that has a nob for volume, and sometimes when I clean it I accidentally turned it off. I am not sure of another solutions, other than trying it with another computer to see if the iSub is actually working..

    Recommend Color Laser Printer?

We have a Brother color laser @ work. I must say, it is a work horse. I have a a Brother, mono-color here at home, and can't say anything negative about the printer, other than Brother is weak with its drivers for OSX. The printer has duplex printing capabilities. Under OS9 I was able to use...

Help! Should I sell my Windows notebook?

Sounds like you are just unsure of the Mac. If you have a specific task(s) or need the money then sell it. If you feel a sense of security having the notebook around, then I would keep it.

    Mac OS X 10.5 ideas

Yes. I miss those features. More radical idea is a tab dock. One could label each tab, and have it as one continuous Dock, kinda like in Gnome. As rumored, I like the idea of ical and mail all in one. I would like to see more customizing. As some one mentioned, the return of sounds like in OS9.

    Another Switcher...Macbook or Macbook Pro?

My take is this. Both computers appear to be well received. If you plan to take your laptop on the move frequently, for example, everyday to class, library, etc. I would go with MacBook. Not that a PB is not as portable, I feel not as durable as the iBook or MacBook. Conversely, if you plan to...

    Mac newbie (almost) requests advice

You inquired about the Mighty Mouse. I use that with my PB while at home. I do like it. I been a long time Mac users, and it took some time to adapt to the two buttons. You are coming over from the PC, so the learning curve should be short. As far as a keyboard, I love my PBs keyboard. The keys...
