What exactly are these "Temporary Items" folders for? They show up all the time and if I delete them, they come back. If they're OS X's, why can't the OS make them a ".temp" folder so they don't show up! If it's some app, what is doing it? They show up on all HD's. I have 4 partitions. One...

This is pretty awesome! If it wasn't so hard on my 700MHz iMac, I'd use it all the time. But I'll hold on to it for the day I have a dual processor PowerMac. And to impress my Dad and friends. PC using weenies will pee their pants. :D :p

I just assumed. Many data apps like that that access web sites use XML to get their info. I don't know if they do or not, but it would make sense.

What are you talking about? That's how it is! Command+I = Get Info (Multiple windows like OS 9) Command+Option+I = Show Inspector (Single always on top window changes with selection)

Well, what I'm gonna do when I get Jag is backup everything. The entire HD to my LaCie FireWire HD and do a complete format. Then I'll copy files back over that I need. I don't really trust those so-called smart upgrades that supposedly save your files. I just don't trust "Smart" technology...

Yeah, this was a TinkerTool setting. It just changed an option in the Dock's .plist file. Wish 10.1 hadn't disabled the "Current app's triangle is blue" option. I liked that option. Wish they put it back.

When did we get Finder labels? Where?
