Apple angry about Steve Jobs biography

lol @ gerbick.. He has always been funny about people asking and commenting about his personal life. I dont blame him in many ways. However steve jobs seems to be the kind of guy who loves attention, but only a certain type of attention. I read "the second comming of steve jobs" and it was...

    Motorola phones bluetooth support

I had a v600 and it worked nicely with the USB cable and iSync. I have a v620 on the way and I am hoping that it will work nicely with the macintosh either via bluetooth (need to get a bluetooth module for my g5) or via the cable at least.

    making a server

Ditto for here in australia.. Alot of modems do NAT and run a DHCP server. So he will need to get a modem which will port forward or a modem which will act as a bridge and deliver a Internet IP to the desktop.

NO Norton Antivirus support after 05?

The only time I have used Norton on a mac was when I was rebuilding a network. It was on its knees due to nimda and I had no way to AV the network except for a imac they had in the corner. I just booted it up and set it to start scanning the Novell servers. It worked like a charm. :)

    Password as CLEARTEXT??

Why are you using samba between a mac and a linux box. It seems strange that your using a Windows protocol between two nix systems. Try using NFS, it has more options for security which you may like.

MAC OS X 10.3 Server to join active directory of windows 2003

I dont think you are going about it correctly. Your mac wont properly bind with Windows Active Directory as it is nor windows. Active Directory's only downfall (well major one) is that its very Microsoft centric. However.. all is not lost. You can get samba to emulate being a member server...

About time they bumped the ram up on the g5. 256mb is shocking when its supposed to be the fastest desktop on the market. maybe they expect people are just gonna throw alot of ram into it anyway! hehe.. Apple to Ship Mac OS X “Tiger” on April 29

I dont see why it wont let you install from a External DVD drive, if you can boot your whole OS from a external disk (or your ipod) then you can install from a external volume. I am sure they will have a solution for those with cd-rom drives. I suppose they figure most people running this...

    Tiger has gone gold!!!

Even if they go gold now by the time it ships they could have 10.4.1 ready to rock. This means that any small issues would be sorted. They would probably delay 10.4.1 until a few months has passed however. Only for political reasons. About time its finally on its way
