thanks I think I'll try reinstalling them i might also need to reinstall suitcase anyhow and I'm currently using Mac OS X 10.6.2. not sure when this problem first began.

Whenever I upgrade or install something my login/password screen looks like this and whenn i type something these symbols replace the letters i use. Someone told me it's a bad font, I've tried running FontDoctor, FontXChange and Xact and deleted all the bad ones but still to no avail anyone...

Tried fixing the problem with font book and onyx still have the same peoblem any other suggestions?
