Mac Mail Deleting Messages From Particular Senders

OK, did a reboot. Since I deleted the Junk rule my messages from that address are still there on the server so maybe that had something to do with it.

Mac Mail Deleting Messages From Particular Senders

It stays running most of the time. I can try this if you think it will help.

Mac Mail Deleting Messages From Particular Senders

OK, thanks. I've done that. I'll see if the message is still there in the morning.

Mac Mail Deleting Messages From Particular Senders

There is one rule, and that is to mark Junk Mail as read, and delete it. BTW, I created a new mailbox called Alt Trash on my primary server, and put new correspondence from one of the affected addresses in there last night. As of this morning, the message is still there.

Mac Mail Deleting Messages From Particular Senders

That's worth trying, yes. So far all messages have gone from the Trash.

Mac Mail Deleting Messages From Particular Senders

I don't know. Where in Mail is this setting found? Doesn't seem to be in Preferences.

Mac Mail Deleting Messages From Particular Senders

I have always deleted read messages from the Inbox so that I can see at a glance whether there's anything new there as it comes in. I have smart mailboxes for easy sorting and reviewing but I rarely need to keep anything for ever, so I don't have a mailbox for that. Instead, I have always...

Mac Mail Deleting Messages From Particular Senders

They are being deleted from Trash. Yes, multiple senders, apparently random (I am not aware of any connection). Junk is normally in a different colour.

Mac Mail Deleting Messages From Particular Senders

I have noticed that Mac Mail on my system is deleting messages from particular senders after 24 hrs, despite my advanced settings in my mail accounts reading "Never" delete messages. I cannot determine any reason for this, or figure out why only some senders' messages are being deleted and not...

Mail Keeps Deleting Trashed Messages Contrary To Preferences

That's hard to say but I would guess it's messages older than a few days also. And this was happening before I set up the smart mail folder.

Mail Keeps Deleting Trashed Messages Contrary To Preferences

Desktop (iMac, OSX El Capitan). If Mail was flagging them as spam they would go to the Junk folder. I have a smart mailbox set up for one of these correspondents. The day I last received their mail it went to the smart mailbox as expected. The next day the mail had disappeared, along with others.

Mail Keeps Deleting Trashed Messages Contrary To Preferences

My ISP is BT Internet, although I have a Sky email address. I try to avoid ever connecting to iCloud services.

Mail Keeps Deleting Trashed Messages Contrary To Preferences

I have set my Mail preferences to never delete trashed mail yet Mail insists on apparently deleting for ever messages from certain correspondents, apparently at random. What could be causing this and how can I fix or reset Mail behaviour?

    Archived Mail - Where?

Thanks, I discovered this also but it is annoying having to relocate all the templates and save them again to the mailbox.

    Archived Mail - Where?

I inadvertently archived some important email templates in Mail that were saved in a custom folder under "On My Mac" (I was trying to work out how to export them). They all disappeared from the folder and now I can't find them on my Mac using Finder. In fact, I can't find any email files. I've...

    Idvd Problem

I am trying to burn an HD DVD project in iDVD 7.1.2. My system is OS X Yosemite and I created the movie in iMovie 09. When I preview the movie in iDVD the resolution looks fine but when I burn it to a disc or to folders the resulting image is low res (pixelated edges), even though I have gone...
