Have you ever figured out your problem? I have basically got the same problem now. It seems to reconnect in DSL, most of the time, if I switch to a dial-up connection and then switch back to DSL. A real nuisance, though.

I suspect this is really easy, but can someone explain it to me in detail? I would like to delete the existing audio from a particular clip and record a new audio track for that clip only. I'm using an iMac with a built-in microphone, which will work fine for these purposes. Thanks!

It just drives me crazy that I can't get my iMac to read the disk. When I bought it at the Apple store in Palo Alto the "genius" assured me that the computer I was buying would have no trouble reading the disk. It took an hour on the phone to have it confirmed that the genius had been wrong...

Thanks for the help. It's working fine, though on MY machine it shows my name even when my wife is logged in. On other people's computers, though, it shows her name. I don't know whether there's any way to change that. This is great, though.

I've got a related but probably dumber question than the one you've been asking: I've signed on in iChat, but I want my wife to be able to sign in on my computer while I'm not around. But when iChat starts up, it starts up as me. Is there some way to make it switch to her? Thanks!

I think I'm not pointing at the right file. When I get over to Library and Mail I get INBOX and my e-mail address as the only things that are highlighted, and if I choose either of those, nothing happens when I try to import. I'm undoubtedly doing something dumb. . . .
