Gone as in erased off the disk? Or gone as in "file not found" when you type the command? If it's the latter, check your PATH variable. If it's the former bend over and ;).

Actually Apple doesn't make the Obj C compiler that comes with OSX. They use the GNU gcc compiler. If you want to be a hardcore Mac programmer, go with Obj C or for that matter use assembly lanauge:eek:...

Does anybody know if OS X is supporting 3rdparty USB and FireWire cards? I want to install OS X on my beige G3 which has a PCI USB card that I added.

That's a good question. I seem to remember that the PB had to be installed on the Master. Is there anything in docs about this? I'd look myself but I haven't bought OS X yet.
